Who's ready for another amazing LGBT read to celebrate PRIDE MONTH!?! 🏳🌈🌈 What have you been doing to show your pride so far this June? The Friday 56 is a weekly blog meme hosted by Freda’s Voice. There are only 4 rules:
As promised, for this week's Friday56, I've selected another fantastic LGBT read, this time it's the adorable YA novel, Noah Can't Even by Simon James Green. The sequel, Noah Could Never has just been released and I can't wait to get my hands on it!! Here's the synopsis for Noah Can't Even: Poor Noah Grimes! His father disappeared years ago, his mother's Beyonce tribute act is an unacceptable embarrassment, and his beloved gran is no longer herself. He only has one friend, Harry, and school is...Well, it's pure HELL. Why can't Noah be normal, like everyone else at school? Maybe if he struck up a romantic relationship with someone - maybe Sophie, who is perfect and lovely - he'd be seen in a different light? But Noah's plans are derailed when Harry kisses him at a party. That's when things go from bad to utter chaos. This book has an incredibly high cuteness level whilst also being hilarious and sweet. It's also unforgivably British, which I LOVE! Here's my chosen quote: "A body-type issue has come up," Noah repeated, "which makes it hard for me to come back down. Right? Very hard." It's a little longer than my usual quote length, but I love that it shows how cute and funny Noah and Harry are together!
What do you think? Would you keep reading? Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave your post links in the comments! Rating: 5 STARS!! Genre: Sci-Fi/Romance/YA Standalone/Series: The Xenith Trilogy #1 How I got this book: Bought Delaney’s entire world is thrown into chaos after she is mistaken for Lissa Olena, an alien princess hiding out on Earth in order to escape an arranged marriage. Kidnapped by the princess’s head bodyguard, Ruckus, and imprisoned in an alien palace, Delaney is forced to impersonate the princess until Olena can be found. If she fails, it will lead to an alien war and the eventual enslavement of the entire human race. No pressure or anything. Factor in Trystan, the princess’s terrifying betrothed who is intent on unraveling all her secrets, and her own growing feelings for Ruckus, and Delaney is in way over her head. Get lost Amid Stars and Darkness, in this YA sci-fi romance from debut author Chani Lynn Feener. I've been a HUGE fan of Chani Lynn Feener ever since I discovered her Underworld series last year - if you love Greek mythology, strong heroines, swoon-worthy boys and three-headed dogs, go check it out!
When I read Amid Stars and Darkness for the first time it was the first sci-fi I'd ever actually made it through, let alone enjoyed. It was so much fun and definitely a 5-star read! Book two, Between Frost and Fury, is coming out next month and it's one of my most anticipated reads this year, that's why I decided to re-read book one to refresh my memory. Side note: I have a shocking long-term memory. It really is awful and in all aspects of life it really bothers me, except when it comes to reading books. Forgetting the details helps to make a re-read much more special. This story is so easy to fall into, one second you're on page one, meeting Delaney and Olena, and the next you're almost finished. The pace is fantastic and I read the entire book in just a few short sittings. I just couldn't put it down and was hooked from the very beginning. I instantly loved Delaney who's an amazingly strong, resilient and witty character whilst still handling her situation realistically, she's definitely braver than me, I'd have been curled up in a corner panicking the entire time! The imagery and world-building in this book are fantastic, I love the comparisons between Earth and the aliens, especially the pool room which is simply magical. I hope there's more of this amazing world to explore in book 2. What I love most is that this book isn't just a typical romance, it's full of action and dastardly plots that keep your eyes glued to the page. I won't say too much about the other characters in this book as I really don't want to give too much away. Just know that I had so much fun with all of the characters. Ruckus is strong, loyal, sweet and HOT. Trystan is big, brooding and pretty malicious for the most part, so why is he my favourite?!? Prepare yourself for one hell of a cliffhanger ending! That ending has had me hanging on so long for the sequel. I luckily managed to snag an ARC of Between Frost and Fury from the lovely team at Swoon Reads, so I'm reading it next!! I can't wait! I'm desperate to get jump back into this fantastic world! If you're a fan of 'enemies/friends to lovers', strong-willed heroines, drop-dead gorgeous heroes & villains, and action-filled plots, you'll love Amid Stars and Darkness! Hey guys! It's Tuesday, and you know what that means! The #TopTenTuesday meme is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl and this week's theme is 'Books That Awaken the Travel Bug In Me' Fun (read 'lame') fact about me: I have only travelled out of the UK twice in my 27 years 😭😭😭 I went to Disneyland Paris for a single day in high school and then a two week trip to Alcudia, Spain with my family when I was 14. I am looooooong overdue some travelling and I seriously need a good kick up the butt to get me started! So, on that slightly depressing note, here are 10 books that awaken the travel bug in me whether it's through their truly vivid settings or simply because I love the book so much that I just really NEED to go there! The Little Shop of Happy Ever After paints such a gorgeous picture of the Scottish highlands that it's impossible not to feel immersed. This entire book had me craving a converted barn on a working farm where I could wander the hills and attend Scottish parties. Fun fact: Did you know that my name, Kayleigh means warrior in Scottish but that it also means 'Party' (spelled: ceilidh) - Hell, yeah, I can be a party warrior! 😂 Under the Jewelled Sky is a tragic book in so many ways but the vivid setting is incredible. At times I swore I could even smell it, the flowers, the spices, it was immense and fuelled my burning desire to discover India. Beyond a Darkened Shore is packed full of Celtic and Norse mythology, it was my absolute favourite thing about this book. My second favourite thing was how vivid the Irish setting came off the page. The picture painted by the author was so complete that I could just imagine myself traversing the countryside, book in hand, searching for the perfect tree to read beneath, with the sound of the ocean surrounding me - bliss! Pride and Prejudice is my absolute favourite Austen novel. I LOVE it! It was the first classic novel that I ever read and I devoured it. Fun fact: When I first received a copy of this book from my mum (I was 7) I couldn't pronounce Prejudice upon first glance and said 'produced' instead - I still get stick for that to this very day (I was 7!) but the funny thing is that I actually read this book (AT AGE 7!!) and LOVED IT and I still have the very same copy that I was bought (which is now 20 years old!) I have visited the Peak District once for a few hours but I would love to go again and stay for much longer. My goal is to visit Chatsworth House in Derby which was used in the Keira Knightly film adaptation as Pemberley - if you're going to swoon over a house, it's probably going to be that one 😍😍😍 Sherlock Holmes, the complete collection is another classic that I absolutely love. I love that each 'story' can be read in a short time without the daunting task of reading the whole book at once. Fun fact (I'm full of these today): I found a leather bound version of this book with gold-leafed page edges and embossing for 50p at a car boot sale - I love a good book bargain!) Also, I know that every book I've mentioned so far is set in the UK but damn it, it's a beautiful place, I just need to visit more of it! I've only ever been to London for around 5-6 hours and all I saw was the inside of a drum show and a Pizza Express - I need to go back!!! The Fault in Our Stars is the first book in today's post that's actually outside of the country. Finally! I would LOVE to visit Amsterdam, not for the touristy side but for the architecture, the museums, the open air theatre, the canals...Is it time to go now? 😩 The Thief Lord was one of my favourite books as a child and yes, I loved the movie adaptation as well (it has Carson in from Downton Abbey - how could you not like it?!?) Since reading this book I have dreamt of Venice, of gondola rides, winding streets, Italian cuisine...take me away!
Below Deck is a fun, steamy romance from my all-time favourite romance author. This is one of those books that you fly through in just a couple of hours, losing yourself in the characters, the sexual tension and the stunning Mediterranean setting. Cruising through crystal clear waters, snorkelling in the shallows, horseback riding on the beach, swimming with dolphins - what's that, my flight is boarding? The Brother's Grimm bought to life the first fairy tales, the dark, twisted foundations for the slightly more sugar-coated stories that we now all know and love. Since I'm a bit dark and twisted myself I would love to discover the birthplace of these stories and maybe even discover a story or two myself! Visiting Germany is definitely on my bucket list! Northern Lights is a book that I remember loving as a child but I'm not sure now that I'd want to read it again. What I remember the most about it is my desperation to see the Northern Lights, preferably in Iceland which is such a magical looking place. Every single photo on Google images looks like a cross between a fairy tale, a sci-fi and a really crazy trip. It looks amazing!! We've reached the end of this week's #TopTenTuesday. I hope you've enjoyed my somewhat rambling tour around a very small part of the world. Who knows, maybe one day.... Have you visited any of these places? Where would you love to travel to? 🌎 Don't forget to share your post links in the comments below 😊 Rating: 5 STARS!! Genre: Fantasy/Romance Standalone/Series: Caraval #2 How I got this book: Bought A heart to protect. A debt to repay. A game to win. After being swept up in the magical world of Caraval, Donatella Dragna has finally escaped her father and saved her sister Scarlett from a disastrous arranged marriage. The girls should be celebrating, but Tella isn’t yet free. She made a desperate bargain with a mysterious criminal, and what Tella owes him no one has ever been able to deliver: Caraval Master Legend’s true name. The only chance of uncovering Legend’s identity is to win Caraval, so Tella throws herself into the legendary competition once more—and into the path of the murderous heir to the throne, a doomed love story, and a web of secrets…including her sister's. Caraval has always demanded bravery, cunning, and sacrifice. But now the game is asking for more. If Tella can’t fulfill her bargain and deliver Legend’s name, she’ll lose everything she cares about—maybe even her life. But if she wins, Legend and Caraval will be destroyed forever. Welcome, welcome to Caraval...the games have only just begun. I can't tell you how EXCITED I've been for Legendary!! If you haven't read book one in the series, feel free to check out my review of Caraval! This book is 😍🤯😱 - it's EVERYTHING!! The most amazing thing about Stephanie Garber's writing is that it completely sweeps me away. I get so lost in her incredible world that I never want to leave. The magic, deception and mystery of Legendary drew me in so fully that I became fully immersed in it. Legendary, like Caraval, is one of those rare books that you find yourself flying through whilst at the same time wishing that it could last forever. I absolutely loved Tella in this book. In Caraval, I wasn't too sure how I felt about her as a character, but in Legendary, she really comes into her own. She's fierce, brave, loyal, committed and bursting with conviction, seeing things from her point of view completely flipped my original opinion of her....I can't get enough of her sass and her propensity to tell things as they are. "Tella had kissed enough young men to know that anything said by a boy right before or directly after she kissed him could not be believed at all." There's a fantastic undercurrent of feminism in this book and I'm so glad of it! "Tella might have been many things, but she was far from silly or worthless or whatever labels people liked to affix because a person was young and female." The romance in Legendary, for me at least, felt much bigger and more swoon-worthy than in Caraval. Whilst I loved the slow-burn between Scarlett and Julian, I absolutely loved the back and forth between two certain characters in Legendary and often found myself grinning madly whilst reading their scenes, and I love that Stephanie Garber completely changed my opinion of these two characters in the course of just a few chapters. Legendary contains some truly fantastic characters, most of whom we already met in Caraval, but there's also the introduction of some new faces, my favourites being The Fates. The Fates are incredible, I love how dark and twisted they are! This book sees Tella swept away in a completely new game, one that seems vividly more real than the last. She faces difficult paths, dark temptations and it's a joy to travel with her as she discovers more about who she is, and who she wants to be. To me, Legendary feels a touch darker than Caraval, and I love that about this book. There's danger, trials, mystery and so much confusion that I'm tempted to re-read it again even now! I honestly cannot wait for the final book in the series, the aptly named Finale as my jaw was hanging wide as the ending of Legendary played out! I was so drawn in by the glorious imagery and magic of Legendary that I sped through this book without realising it and at times even tried to slow myself down to make it last longer. I will most definitely be re-reading this series before Finale is released. 5/5 shimmering stars for what's shaping up to be one of my favourite book series' of all time! This book is so beautiful! Here's a quick photo I took of my hidden cover for the Fairy Loot 'May' challenge!
Which of the four secret covers is your favourite? Welcome back for another #Friday56! As it's PRIDE MONTH 🏳🌈 - I've decided to use only LGBT books for every #Friday56 post this month (last week excluded because I forgot 🤦) The Friday 56 is a weekly blog meme hosted by Freda’s Voice. There are only 4 rules:
This week I've chosen a book that I read and absolutely loved back in January, Clean by Juno Dawson. It's a gritty YA drama about addiction in all it's forms and it has fantastic LGBT rep. Here's the synopsis: I can feel it swimming through my veins like glitter ... it's liquid gold. When socialite Lexi Volkov almost overdoses, she thinks she's hit rock bottom. She's wrong. Rock bottom is when she's forced into an exclusive rehab facility. From there, the only way is up for Lexi and her fellow inmates, including the mysterious Brady. As she faces her demons, Lexi realises love is the most powerful drug of all... It's a dirty business getting clean... Here's my quote from page 59 (pages 56-58 don't exist in the book as they're blank divider pages): "It's all so improbable. How can I be 'an addict'? I'm seventeen years old. I always aspired to a coke problem as I turned thirty, but never this. This is mortifying. When Nik sat me down about six months ago, after....well, when he sat me down to lecture me about my behaviour, I thought it was cute in an unnecessarily concerned big brother way. I didn't realise he saw me. He really saw me. Why didn't I see it too?" I absolutely love this book. It's gritty and real yet still funny and compassionate.
What do you think? Would you read it? Don't forget to include your post links in the comments 😊 Happy Tuesday! How's June treating you so far? The #TopTenTuesday meme is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl and this week's theme is 'Books I Decided to DNF (did not finish) too Quickly'. I always try my hardest to read a book to the very end, but sometimes my head isn't in the right place for a particular book. It could be that I'm not in the mood for that particular genre, I've read too many similar books/tropes etc recently or occasionally, it's just not a book for me. Here are some of the books that I've started but intend to come back to eventually. Nevernight by Jay Kristoff - This is a big one for me. I've started this book 3 times and only made it to chapter two. What's strange is that it has absolutely nothing to do with the book itself, I just kept getting distracted by other things and forgetting about it. The Sin Eater's Daughter by Melinda Salisbury - I don't feel as though I gave this book enough of a chance. I was really put off by the main character, at the time she seemed really dull, self-obsessed and somewhat dim, I also got sick and tired of the constant praying. But, I stopped reading at around 27% and probably should have waited to see if things improved. Sister, Sister by Sue Fortin - I think the main reason I stopped reading this was because it's not my typical genre. I struggle a little with getting into Thrillers as I don't particular like the darker subject matter found in most. However, my sister still won't stop raving about how good this book is and so I feel like I should give it another chance. The Soul Mate by Kendall Ryan - I love Kendall Ryan, and have enjoyed every other book in this contemporary romance series, but for some reason, I really struggled getting into The Soul Mate. Fingers crossed I'll do better on the second try! Neanderthal Seeks Human by Penny Reid - Sadly, I barely remember this book at all. Aside from thinking that it was too long and I stopped reading at 50%. Maybe I should try again.... Allegiant (Divergent #4) by Veronica Roth - I got all the way to 74% when I stopped reading this book. I just hit a wall and completely lost interest and so I have no idea how the series ends. I'll probably give it another shot at some point to try and wrap it up. The Sky Beneath by Jason Warne - This story started off really well, I just had a slight problem with pacing at the time which was the main reason I chose to stop reading. But, I'm still left with lots of questions so I'll try to revisit it soon.
Stay by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy - I have no idea why I stopped reading this at 64%, but I do remember really enjoying it at the beginning. It was strange to finally read it book that featured my job (even if it was an exaggerated version of it). I'm going to have to try to finish this one. Eye Candy by Multiple Authors - I bought this book solely for Tara Sivec's contribution, The Pumpkin Was Stuffed, which I really enjoyed. However, I'd really like to read the others and hopefully can go back to it at some point. Tempting Alibi by Savannah Stuart - I was not in a good head space when trying to read this book and so I put it down without really giving it a chance. I'm determined to give it another try! Have you read any of my choices for this week's #TopTenTuesday? Which would you suggest that I try again? Don't forget to leave your post links in the comments! Rating: 3 STARS Genre: Women's Fiction/Spy/Crime Standalone/Series: Standalone How I got this book: ARC from Bonnier Zaffre via NetGalley Please note: This review does feature more quotes than usual but I've done my best to still keep it spoiler free! Every working mum has had to face it. The guilt-fuelled, anxiety-filled first day back in the office after maternity leave. But this working mum is one of a kind. Meet Alexis Tyler. An elite covert agent within Her Majesty's Secret Service. Her first project back is a high-stakes hit of global significance and the old boys network of government espionage is far from ready for the return of an operational mother. But woe betide anyone who ever tells Alexis Tyler 'you can't'. She will have it all. Or she'll die trying . . . And yes, she damn well will be home for bath time. Okay, so I don't typically read this genre, and that's probably reflected in my review. However, I'm always open to trying new things and when I spotted this title on NetGalley I loved the sound of it. I have a three-year-old little menace and whilst I'm sadly not a spy, the synopsis made me laugh and was still relatable. I love Lex, she's feisty, strong-willed and determined to prove herself in a very masculine world. I love her humour but I do feel that the comedy is specifically aimed at mums and so might not be relatable to a broader readership. "My enemies have got it wrong if they think that becoming a mother has made me weaker. I stare down at her as she holds my little finger. There is nothing I wouldn't do for her. Climb mountains. Fight tigers. Track down and kill every single fucker trying to tear us apart. I will show them all." I liked the initial plot idea but did find myself struggling with the pace a little and I was pushing myself to keep reading after 50%. It was the underlying story of motherhood and Lex's character that kept me going through some of the 'slower' plot moments, and is truly my favourite aspect of the book. The book is a very strong advocate for feminism as the author honestly portrays sexism in the workplace. It was eerie how familiar some of the lines from the male characters in the book felt from personal experience. "'Good. I just had to check. As you know. Hormones.' He twirled a finger round next to his head." I also really enjoyed some of the spy/mum crossover moments such as a scene featuring Lex talking about the strain having a baby can put on the parents' relationship.
"Once a full bottle of expressed milk slipped out of my hand. Upon seeing it pour all over the place I'd collapsed to the floor sobbing. Will's jovial, 'There's no use crying over spilt milk,' had me mentally loading an automatic machine gun and spraying him with bullets." "I may have every now and then thought about killing the father of my child but I never actually did it. Which had to count for something." Overall, I really enjoyed the twist on the traditional male-led spy novel and found the humour realistic and relatable. Recommended for lovers of crime fiction and any mum who needs a little reminder that she's amazing! "...a woman could do anything she put her mind to. And that a mother should never be written off. But put on a fucking pedestal." I was so excited to finally receive my first every Illumicrate box this morning, I feel like I've been waiting for this one forever! For those of you who are unfamiliar with Illumicrate, they offer quarterly book boxes alongside special edition one-off boxes. The quarterly book boxes are £29.99 including free UK shipping, which makes it the most affordable of the three boxes that I'm currently subscribed to. I've heard so many good things about Illumicrate and so I subscribed to the May box at the beginning of May. There was a slight delay of approximately 10 days due to a supplier issue but the box finally arrived this morning - a welcome sight on such an overcast day! As always, here's a quick recap of what Illumicrate told us about the May 2018 box: It’s time! I’m so pleased to announce that our May theme is HIDDEN TALENTS! 💛 The featured book is one of the best debuts I’ve read in a long time. It’s a stand-alone, with friendship and music at its heart, and it deals with a difficult topic beautifully. The book will be an exclusive edition with sprayed edges! 💛 The items in the box are inspired by Fangirl, Shadowhunters, Percy Jackson, Black Panther and Avatar: The Last Airbender! We’re including some really unique items we’ve never included before, and I’m so excited for you all to see them! 💛 And, as you’ve come to expect from us, we are including an advanced reader copy. It’s the start of a new series by a bestselling author, and its not out until October 2018! TWO BOOKS!?! I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS BOX! First impressions: If you're looking for a comparison, this box is almost exactly the same size as the Book Box Club box. The box arrived the day after I had my tracking via Royal Mail and was in perfect condition with all items intact. On to the book of the month... OMG!! I'm so excited that A Thousand Perfect Notes by C.G. Drews is this months featured book! I have seen this book quite literally all over social media and I'm so excited to dig in! The book is an exclusive paperback with red sprayed edges (photo at the end). It's glossy and stunning and oh, so pretty! 😍😍😍 It comes with a signed bookplate, bookmark and a super-sweet note from the author. For those of you who don't know, C.G. Drews also goes by the handle @paperfury and she's been running an incredible Instagram account for a really long time. Her letter also doubles as a really handy guide to making the most of your #bookstagram channel! Sidenote: She's also a rep for Illumicrate so just head to @paperfury on Instagram for a 10% discount if you choose to sign up - I really wish I'd have used that one myself - doh! As mentioned above, this book box included an Advanced Readers Copy (ARC) of a novel that hasn't yet been published. The book is Light Years by Kass Morgan - it doesn't release in the UK until October 9th which means we got it a whole 4 months before everyone else!! I haven't heard of this before, and admittedly haven't read The 100 (a bestselling series by the same author) as it doesn't really grab my attention, but this book sounds fab and it has LGBT representation!! YAY!! *Does a happy dance!* 🤗🌈🤗🌈🤗 Now, we move onto the bookish goodies! First up, we have three items inspired/created by the wonderful Alice Oseman! I fell in love with Alice's work when I stumbled across Heartstopper. If you haven't heard of it, Heartstopper is an online LGBT comic series. It's cute, fun and amazing and I urge you to check it out - I don't ever read comics but I love this ongoing series! Alice also recently released her new novel, I Was Born For This, which I desperately need to get my hands on. I love the little pin inspired by the book that has already found it's way onto one of my four tote book bags. (I HAVE AN ADDICTION!!) Alice also created this really cute #prefersfictionalworlds box. It's probably a bit too small to put lunch in, but I'm sure I'll find a use for it. It's currently storing a few of my previous book box items that I'd left lying around with nowhere to keep them safe. Next up were some really gorgeous items. First of all, a Camp Half-Blood Enamel Pin designed by the fabulous Fable and Black - I have a few of her pins and I can honestly say that I've never been disappointed. This gorgeous pin is no different and is already in residence on my enamel pin tote bag. The wonderful Tara Spruit is one of my favourite artists and I love finding her work in various book boxes. These Infernal Devices cards are gorgeous, they look like super fancy tarot cards and whilst I haven't yet read the series, I can appreciate how stunning these cards are! 😱😍 HOLY S*** YOU GUYS! This box just took it to a whole new level! BLACK PANTHER BOOK SLEEVE!!!! 🤯🤯🤯 Do I even need to say anymore? This exclusive sleeve designed by Risa Rodil is incredible and I freaking LOVE that it features Okoye, Nakia and Shuri in all their badass glory! Alongside the sleeve is an exclusive set of Elemental Page Markers created by Another Studio! The markers are simply gorgeous, each one representing one of the four elements and inspired by The Last Airbender. Last, but certainly not least, there are a few bookish extras from Grey Sister, A Reaper at the Gates, From Twinkle with Love and How Do You Like Me Now? Overall, this box was most definitely worth the wait! I loved the double books (twice the reading fun!), especially the sprayed page design on the main book and the LGBT rep in the other. The book sleeve is without a doubt my favourite item in this box but I also love everything else in equal measure. I cannot wait for August's instalment! Let me know what you think in the comments! This post was inspired by the wonderful Manon of Cafe Manon. I saw her 'What's on my ARC Shelf' post and instantly wanted to do my own! I never really read many ARC's before starting this blog, but it was because of these 'Advanced Review Copies' of books that I received, primarily via NetGalley, that I decided to start blogging. Here are the blogs currently occupying space on my TBR shelf (click on each image to add to your TBR):
I've read some pretty amazing ARC's lately, especially since starting my blog and I'm really excited to see what others come my way in the near future!
Do you read ARC's? What are you reading right now? Welcome back to this week's #Friday56 - What are you reading this week? The Friday 56 is a weekly blog meme hosted by Freda’s Voice. There are only 4 rules:
As I'm reading two books at the moment, I decided to incorporate both into this week's post. Up first is Legendary by Stephanie Garber - I was so excited to get this a day before the release (THANKS AMAZON!) and I'm so glad to be diving back into this rich, fantasy world. If you're interested, feel free to check out my review of Caraval and click on the photo below for the synopsis of Legendary! Warning: If you haven't read Caraval, the quote below is a bit of a spoiler! Here's my chosen quote from page 56: "Tella considered telling Scarlett the real reason she needed to play and win, but she doubted mentioning their mother would help her cause. Scarlett didn't talk about their mother. Ever. Whenever Tella had tried to talk about Paloma, Scarlett either changed the subject or ignored her completely. Tella used to think it was too difficult for Scarlett, but now Tella thought Scarlett's hurt had turned to hatred for the way their mother had left them." I'm so happy to be back in Caraval and can't wait to see what happens next. How do you feel about Caraval? Are you reading Legendary? My second book this week is Killing It by Asia Mackay. Here's the synopsis: Every working mum has had to face it. Here's my quote from 56%: He had been my anchor. Holding me down, stopping me getting swept away in a flurry of big guns, bloodshed and baddies. And look at us now. We were a family. What do you think? Would you read this?
