I'm so excited to share with you my February 2021 Book Box Club unboxing. I've been really excited for this box after last month's fantastic box. Before we get started, here's a quick reminder of this month's theme reveal: Crack out your cauldrons and make sure your fellow sorceresses are ready on speed-dial. Our theme for February will be 🕯SISTERS OF THE COVEN🕯and will celebrate fictional females with a flair for the supernatural! 🌙⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📖 BOOK ONE is based on the incredible true story of three sisters, whose seance-hosting parlour tricks unexpectedly turn from ruse to reality, when they begin to hear from spirits on the other side. With the draw of riches beyond their wildest dreams and paranormal occurrences that become harder and harder to ignore, can the sisters uncover the truth about their otherworldly powers?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📖 BOOK TWO features a high-school misfit whose discovery that she has a talent for reading tarot cards earns her the esteem of her fortune-telling-thirsty classmates. But when her former best friend disappears and an unknown card appears in her tarot deck, this wannabe diviner realises just how dangerous it is to play with magic!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨ Our featured reads are both stunning, new release YA paperbacks, packed with supernatural sisters! If you love anything wonderfully witchy - think The Craft, A Discovery of Witches and Sabrina - you will adore this magical box.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📚 Both of our featured reads will arrive gift-wrapped and accompanied by signed bookplates.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨There will be Goodies! Our February box will be crammed with hubble, bubble, books and exclusive goodies (!), created by magical makers, artists and small businesses! 👍🏼⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Eeek! I'm so excited to open this box! Two books is always better than one, right?! Who's ready to jump in? Obviously, there will be spoilers for this box beyond this point, so stop reading now if you don't want to know what's in this one. ⠀ Yay! As always we're we're greeted with another piece of stunning artwork, designed by Book Box Club's resident artist, Ali Jo Art along with an invitation to the book group. Let's see what's under all of that blue paper! OMG, I absolutely love this!! This A5 ring binder, designed by Elf Paper Co is absolutely stunning. It's the perfect place to store all of the gorgeous art prints I get in these boxes, something I've been wanting for a really long time now and it looks beautiful on my bookshelves. Next up, we have a bunch of bookish goodies starting with a pouch of Witches' Brew Coffee from Caffe Tramoni and a sampler from Unchosen by Katharyn Blair. In addition to this, we have a Lavender Shortbread recipe. The artwork on this recipe is beautiful and I'll definitely be trying these out in the kitchen this weekend. A real bonus is that it's already punched and the perfect size to fit inside the new ring binder! In addition, there's a gorgeous wooden spoon created by Book Box Club which is too pretty to use for baking and will instead take up residence on my bookshelves. Another of my favourite items in this box are the absolutely stunning Elphaba inspired earrings by Sapphire Frills. I love Wicked and these are absolutely gorgeous. I've seen photos from other Book Box Club subscribers and each pair are slightly different so they do feel like a truly unique, handmade item and I love them! We also have a gorgeous mini tarot card pack by Jade Holly Design. These cards are super cute and while, much smaller than standard cards, they look great and the card stock seems quite sturdy. They definitely fit with the aesthetic of the box although it would have been really nice to get a full set. Finally, we have our two books this month and honestly, from first appearance, All Our Hidden Gifts by Caroline O'Donoghue looks amazing! Just look at that cover, it's so mysterious and magical, I love it! Both books sound fantastic and I'm going to share the synopsis for each below.
Overall, this box was so much fun! My favourite two items are the ring binder and the Elphaba earrings and I love the sound of both books, I can't wait to read them!
Thanks for reading 😊 Now tell me, which item do you like the look of the most? Let me know in the comments! Comments are closed.
