Happy April! Spring is officially here in the UK and we've had some truly gorgeous sunshine over the past week, although the forecast looks like snow this week - go figure!?! March was definitely my best reading month of the year so far. I've loved everything I've read this month, including my very first 5-star read of 2021! So, here's a quick wrap-up of what I read in March. As always, click on the book title for the full review (if available). A Pho Love Story by Loan Le - This book was our February book club choice and it was so much fun to read. The characters and the culture in this book are incredibly poignant, and it tackles issues like racism and immigration while delivering a really sweet and funny YA romance. Malice by Heather Walter - This book was incredible and I'd highly recommend it to absolutely everyone who loves fantasy! It's an LGBTQ+ Sleeping Beauty re-telling from the villain's POV and it blew me away. I didn't want to put it down and as soon as I was finished I wanted to start it all over again. Emerett Has Never Been in Love by Anyta Sunday - I love Anyta Sunday's capacity for writing slow-burn romance that just completely draws you in. The characters are clueless and adorable and have sizzling chemistry. I also completely love that it's a contemporary Emma re-telling, the romantic mishaps and humour are the icing on the cake! Written in the Stars by Alexandria Bellefleur - Gah! Why did I wait so long to read this book? This was a sweet, fun f/f romance and I loved everything about it. It was definitely worth staying awake until 3am to keep reading! So, that's all for March!
Now tell me, what have you read recently? Comments are closed.
