Hello lovelies! Happy first of November! Work has been absolutely manic the past couple of months and I haven't had as much time to read as I would have liked. Without thinking about it I've been reaching for super-quick, fun reads so, naturally, I seem to have been gravitating more towards romance. I did however, read one fantasy book last month which was incredible and honestly, I'm wondering if that's why I haven't been able to get into much else this month...book hangover still in progress. Anyway, onto the wrap-up. As always, you can click on the title below to read the review or to visit Goodreads: The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune - This book is easily the best book I've read in a really, really long time. I loved every single second of it and never wanted it to end. I'd recommend it to absolutely everyone. Rule Breaker by Lily Morton - This was an accidental re-read as I hadn't realised I'd read it before but I switched to listening to the audiobook which made a huge difference as the narrator was brilliant. A really fun read. Marry Me by Mia Monroe - A really fun, best friends-to-lovers romp with a fake fiancé twist that made me want to read more of the series. Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall - I really, really wanted to love this book. I'd heard so many amazing things about it and the enemies-to-lovers slow-burn drew me in, but sadly the chemistry just fell completely flat for me. The Billionaire's Wake-Up-Call Girl by Annika Martin - Another one that fell flat. I got around 50% of the way through this and was enjoying the snarky back-chat between the two leads but I just lost interest somewhere along the line. Neighbours Like That by Carina Taylor - This book was a lot of fun and reminded me so much of the Neighbours from Hell series by R.L. Mathewson - it was one of the first rom-com series I fell in love with. The characters were lots of fun and the plot sped along with a little suspense thrown in as well. A fun, clean romance. I do love romance but I think I need a break now.
Fingers crossed that the next month brings with it a little more fantasy. Now tell me, what are you reading? Comments are closed.
