THE JUNE BOX FINALLY ARRIVED!!! I'm not going to waste any time jumping into this one because I am very excited! So, let's just have a quick recap of the June theme: Have you ever felt a connection to an animal friend? Or wished for your own magic creature to accompany you on an epic quest? Whether that be a fire-spitting dragon or a talking cat, for many readers animals are the perfect companions! If you could have an animal companion, what would it be and why? 🖤 In this box you can expect items inspired by The Raven Boys, Crescent City, The Priory of the Orange Tree, Kiki's Delivery Service and Kingdom of the Wicked. We are thrilled to reveal that this box will include TWO items that we have never featured before — one of which is a Crescent City flower pot! 🖤 Our featured book of the month is a contemporary fantasy filled with sarcastic characters, dragons, action and a dash of romance. This FairyLoot exclusive edition will have an EXCLUSIVE COVER, SPRAYED EDGES, ARTWORK ON THE REVERSE OF THE DUST JACKET by @icandrawthingz, FOIL EMBOSSING ON THE CASE by @icandrawthingz and will be SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. Okay, let's jump in! As always, there will be spoilers beyond this point so look away now if you don't want to see what's inside this box. I know I always say this at the start of these unboxing's but the FairyLoot art is always stunning and I just love seeing how @taratjah perfectly captures each and every theme. I love this one and how many different types of animals were included. I need a flying wolf in my life!! So, the first thing I pulled out of this month's box was this GORGEOUS ceramic flower pot inspired by House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas (which is still sitting unread on my shelves) and designed by @ouroridae. This design is stunning, the gold foiling is incredibly pretty and while I don't think I'll be putting a real plant in this one (my shelves do not get enough sunlight for plants to survive), I might do something with a fake plant instead or just use the pot for decoration. Next up we have the collectible tarot cards. This month it's the Knight and Page of Wands, inspired by characters from Serpent & Dove. I haven't read this book so I have no idea who these characters are, but I'm intrigued. The cards were designed by the incredibly talented @morgana0anagrom I absolutely love the next item! It's a Priory of the Orange Tree inspired metal bookmark (my first metal bookmark) designed by @no0nedesigns and it's gorgeous! It's so pretty and shiny and I love the sturdiness of it. This might just be my favourite item in this month's box. The next item I pulled out was a bit disappointing as it was damaged; you can sort of see how the art is crinkled and not stuck down well on the photo and the plastic it's made from isn't great quality either. It's a nice design and the artwork by @morgana0anagrom is really pretty but sadly, it's not very well made. The Raven Sleep Cycle pillowcases were next and they are really pretty, BUT not really my style. So, while I love the design by @kdpletters that's inspired by The Raven Cycle series, I'm not sure these are something I'll actually use. The Delivery Cat enamel pin by @layla_ashtar_shrine, on the other hand, is perfect! As a black cat owner, I love this design and it's now sitting proudly in the centre of my pin banner! I love the detail on this badge, especially the little red bow and purple broomstick, which really makes this pin stand out from my other black and gold pins. I spy yellow sprayed edges!!! Oh wow, this book is pretty! I'm not really into the whole one good sister, one bad sister kind of vibe BUT this book has dragons and it looks and sounds epic. Here's the synopsis for Fire with Fire by Destiny Soria: Dani and Eden Rivera were both born to kill dragons, but the sisters couldn’t be more different. For Dani, dragon slaying takes a back seat to normal high school life, while Eden prioritizes training above everything else. Yet they both agree on one thing: it’s kill or be killed where dragons are concerned. Until Dani comes face-to-face with one and forges a rare and magical bond with him. As she gets to know Nox, she realizes that everything she thought she knew about dragons is wrong. With Dani lost to the dragons, Eden turns to the mysterious and alluring sorcerers to help save her sister. Now on opposite sides of the conflict, the sisters will do whatever it takes to save the other. But the two are playing with magic that is more dangerous than they know, and there is another, more powerful enemy waiting for them both in the shadows. This sounds really good and I'm interested to see how the dragons are portrayed. With this book, we have a bunch of special customisations including: - the book is signed by the author - sprayed yellow edges - a gorgeous yellow and silver foil secret cover - an exclusive cover that's different to the original - artwork on the back of the cover It really is a stunning book, I absolutely love all the yellow. It also comes with a really gorgeous art print designed by @sallteas that doubles as the letter from the author. The artwork above is on the back of the dust jacket and was designed by @icandrawthingz
Overall, I absolutely love this box and I'm really looking forward to reading the book! Thanks so much for checking out my unboxing! Now tell me, which items do you like the look of? Let me know in the comments! Comments are closed.
